bon dimanche
tracey kadada is a young kenyan woman from a professional background.
but she gave up a career because kenya and nairobi has quite a problem with street children. some are orphans, some the parents couldnt afford to support them. some have been through horrific experiences. but when i asked tracey if some of the children were angry or had behaviour problems. she said "no.that no matter what childs been through, when kenyan kids are shown love, they show it back"
i started this blog last sunday, and was excited to be starting a new project. sadly last sunday one of the children died. a girl named clara. she had leukemia
tracey has taken in 18 children including clara. 17 now
their names are; dieter, sharon, haruki, norah, lucky, koi, miriam, maki, lesley, britney, ashley, abigail, braxton and jeremiah
what i want ; is not just money. i want to set up an organisation, a charity. a community that is self sufficient and produces independant young adults
ideally if i could find some helpers here in the UK with experience in charity work, and in running organisations. even a few hours every week would make a huge difference. so if youre in a poition whereby you could help, do get in touch.
i have some ideas. at the moment tracey makes her money from poultry; eggs and chickens
but in east africa its such a good climate you can get 3 harvests a year. so a piece of land would provide great income and an education in how the african ancestors lived.
well, ill blog again next week
